Product Introduction:

• The RP2350 is a new generation of high-performance and secure microcontroller launched by Raspberry Pi. It features a higher core clock speed, twice the on-chip SRAM, more powerful Arm cores, and optional RISC-V cores. Additionally, it comes with new security features and upgraded interface capabilities. As a result, it has significantly improved in performance and functionality compared to its previous-generation product, the RP2040.

• The RP2350 offers a comprehensive security architecture based on Arm TrustZone for Cortex-M. It includes signed boot, 8KB anti-fuse OTP for key storage, SHA-256 acceleration, hardware TRNG, and a fast tamper detector. All these features, including the secure boot ROM, are thoroughly documented and accessible to all users without any restrictions. This transparent approach differs from the “security through obscurity” approach offered by traditional suppliers, enabling professional users to integrate the RP2350 into their products.

• The RP2350’s unique dual-core, dual-architecture capability allows users to choose between a pair of industry-standard Arm Cortex-M33 cores and a pair of open hardware Hazard3 RISC-V cores. It is equipped with three high-performance Programmable I/O (PIO) coprocessors, which in total have twelve independent state machines. These support software-defined interfaces with little to no additional burden on the CPU.

• The RP2350 delivers industry-leading performance across a wide range of applications, from cost-optimized embedded computing to secure applications requiring trusted firmware, and industrial loT deployments with demanding I/O requirements. It is available in four package versions: with 30 or 48 GPIO pins, and with or without 2MB stacked flash memory
